Connecting Speakers & Lecturers with Cruise Lines in the Southern Hemisphere

Every year, hundreds of cruise ships set sail from ports across the globe, offering guests an incredible variety of destinations and onboard experiences. An important part of the enrichment program aboard many of these ships is provided by Special Interest Speakers, who bring their knowledge, experience and passion to life through engaging presentations at sea.

Welcome to Eventz Speakers, where a passion for sharing knowledge can take you around the world.

Since 2010, Eventz Speakers has connected engaging and knowledgeable Special Interest Speakers with leading cruise lines across the globe.

We are always looking for people with genuine expertise, fascinating experiences and a passion for sharing their knowledge with others. As a Special Interest Speaker, you’ll deliver engaging presentations to cruise guests on sea days, typically lasting between 40 and 60 minutes and attracting audiences ranging from intimate groups to more than 200 guests.

Through our relationships with leading cruise lines, we have the ability to provide successful speakers with opportunities to travel aboard some of the world’s finest cruise ships while sharing their knowledge and expertise with guests. These opportunities generally include a complimentary cabin for you and a companion, meals, and access to onboard entertainment and facilities. Depending on the cruise and individual arrangements, assistance with travel to and from the ship may also be provided.

Eventz Speakers provides selected speakers with the opportunity to enjoy a unique cruise experience while sharing their knowledge and expertise with guests onboard.

For only as little as $70 a day, you and a companion can enjoy the cruise experience, with your cabin, meals and onboard entertainment included. You are simply responsible for personal onboard purchases, gratuities, shore excursions and other personal expenses.

Our speakers come from a diverse range of backgrounds and share one thing in common: the ability to bring a subject to life and create an enjoyable and memorable experience for their audience.

If you have a story, subject or area of expertise that you believe cruise guests would love to hear about, we’d love to hear from you.

Join Eventz Speakers and take your knowledge to sea.

Our diverse roster of speakers covers a wide range of topics, categorized into ten distinct areas of expertise:

Destination/Regional Speakers Delve into the practical traveller information about each port of call, while sharing the history, culture, geography, and politics of the destination. PowerPoint slide decks aligned with the presentation are required.
Special Interest Destination Speakers Illuminate the allure of the region by exploring subjects such as Art, Music, Culture, Customs, Astronomy, Oceanography, Marine biology, and more.
Enrichment Speakers Deepen the audience’s understanding with topics like Cultural History, Maritime History, Astronomy, Earth Sciences, Wildlife, Environmental Sciences, and other fascinating subjects. PowerPoint slide decks are required.
Naturalist Speakers Offer an engaging blend of knowledge and entertainment by enhancing passengers’ experiences with insights into Natural Sciences, Environmental Issues, Wildlife, Sea life, Native culture, and history. Practical traveler information is also recommended.
Sportsmen and Sportswomen Share your expertise as a coach, broadcaster, referee, retired player, or fisherman, discussing various aspects of sports, ranging from personal experiences to current events and motivation.
Watercolor or Arts & Crafts Instructors If you have teaching experience and a background in the arts, apply to instruct onboard. Classes range from 10 to 75 guests, with watercolor kits provided by some cruise lines.
Bridge Instructors Utilize your ABF and ACBL qualifications to provide instruction, organize and set up Bridge Games. Conducting intermediate Bridge classes and overseeing Duplicate Bridge play during at-sea days are part of the role. The cruise line provides necessary materials, and you should bring your laptop for scoring.
Dance Instructors (couples only) Share your expertise in ballroom dance, including the Waltz, Cha-Cha, Salsa, Samba, and Foxtrot. Teaching attire and your own music are required.
Tai Chi or Qigong Instructors Lead groups through basic levels of Tai Chi or Qigong, utilizing your teaching experience in these disciplines.
Guest Clergy During holy holidays such as Easter, Passover, Yom Kippur, and Christmas, cruise lines require clergy to provide religious services. Preference is given to Catholic Priests for Christian services and Rabbi’s or Jewish Reverends for Jewish Holidays.
